A note from the MCC President

Written by admin on March 13th, 2013

Welcome to Spring! MCC ‘s recent board meeting was productive and meaningful for planning this year’s activities. Our biggest adventure will be our Nov. 9 Education Day- yes, a daylong seminar on Lightroom and Photoshop taught by our own Steve Wright & Marvin Groves!

Save the date!! Reservations required.

Opportunities abound everywhere for learning and experiences in photography- Indiana’s festivals begin anew, Indy 500 is around the corner, and personal trips invite fantastic photo excursions.

Find the light! Study its effects and its trajectory through your photos: light – writing is the definition of photography. Immerse yourself in exuberant Spring Fever that’ll surely embolden you to find that sweet spot in your images that makes you go out & try – again and again.

This is the weekend to enter IN-Focus Photography Competition at the Anderson Center for the Arts in Anderson, IN. Enter your very best by Sunday evening at 5PM-then, leave the rest up to the judges. But always know and believe that if your photography consists of your finest artistic submissions at this point in time, the only judge is you yourself.

Good luck to each of you in IN-Focus! I expect to see many of you at the Reception Sunday, Feb. 26 from 2-4PM.  Usually jam-packed,  the reception is a chance to see lots of old friends and make new ones, plus viewing the latest in photography going on all around us!
